The brief: To give the existing Udipi Refreshments restaurant a new look and feel within a very tight deadline. When the client approached us, he knew what he wanted but was very particular about a quick turnaround. Working on a strict deadline can be challenging yet fun. The plan was to create a new ceiling and backboard for the TV. We decided to incorporate a lime-green ceiling that would resonate with the theme of the restaurant; denoting that the food is prepared fresh every day. We also wanted to create the feel of an authentic south-Indian eatery. From conceptualisation to execution, we were able to deliver the completed project within 10 days (5 days earlier than the deadline given by the client).
